Richard Bird is an Executive Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Bird Realty Advisors, LLC. He has over 15 years experience in the commercial real estate industry with significant experience in the sale of investment properties throughout the Intermountain West.

Mr. Bird entered the commercial real estate industry in 2004 as a sales agent for Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI) in Salt Lake City, Utah where he specialized in the sale of apartment communities in Utah and Idaho. He has sold conventional apartments, student housing, LIHTC, and section 8 housing. In 2007, he joined MMI’s senior management team and spent over 10 years as the District/Regional Manager to the Denver, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, and Boise offices directing brokerage activities across all product types in the Mountain West. He was the principal broker for the firm in Colorado, Nevada, Wyoming, Utah, and Idaho. He also spent four years as the National Director of the National Self Storage Group for MMI. In his role as National Director, Mr. Bird oversaw the #1 ranked self-storage brokerage team in the United States. In each of his roles with the company, his oversight and leadership was responsible for exponential growth that was recognized nationally inside and outside the firm.

During his tenure as an agent and in his managerial roles, Richard has directly managed the production of over $10 Billion in commercial real estate investment property sales. He has hired and trained over 200 investment specialists and managed over 300 agents in his career.

Richard graduated from Brigham Young University in Business Management. He enjoys hunting and the occasional game of golf, but mostly loves spending time with his wife and 7-year old triplets.
